The User Access Changes Report is a powerful feature designed to provide administrators with detailed insights into modifications made to user access. This report enhances transparency and traceability, allowing admins to efficiently manage and monitor access changes across the system. It is particularly useful for various scenarios, such as conducting security audits to identify unauthorized changes, performing user access reviews to validate role assignments, troubleshooting access issues to determine why a user lost or gained access, and maintaining an audit trail for regulatory compliance. By offering a structured view of access modifications, this report helps organizations maintain control over their system access while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Accessing the Report
To generate the User Access Changes Report, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Reports main menu.
- Select the Reports sub-menu.
- Click on User Access Change Report.
- Source System
- Username
- User Email
- From/To Date
Note: The report is configured to retrieve data for the past seven days by default.
5. Click Submit to generate the report.
Report Details
The search results appear in a structured grid format, displaying:
- Source System: Identifies where the change occurred.
- Username: Displays the user whose access was modified.
- Module: Specifies the module related to the access change.
- Earlier Access Details: Shows the user’s previous access settings.
- Later Access Details: Displays the updated access settings.
- Modified-By: Identifies the administrator who made the change.
- Modified-On: Logs the date and time of the modification.
This side-by-side comparison ensures a clear and organized view of access updates, helping admins validate changes effectively.
This report can be exported as excel using the Export to Excel button.
Email Notifications
Admin users will receive an email notification whenever there is a change in their access. The email includes:
- Details of the access change.
- A hyperlink to the User Access Change Report for further review.
